Wedding favors are inevitable on your to do list, and the options are seemingly endless. It’s easy to get caught up in grand ideas that are very pricey or just not very practical. Most guest won’t remember to take their favor home at the end of the night anyway and will only get tossed. Some impractical gifts such as mini succulents will be left there on purpose as people do not want to hold them on their car rides home or pack them to go on a plane. So here are some ideas of favors that your guest might actually use and enjoy.
Who doesn’t love cookies? Macarons are adorable and aren’t that pricey when bought in bulk. Homemade chocolate chip or oatmeal cookies are always a hit.
If most of your guests are over 21 then liquor might be your best bet. Home brewed beer, mini bottles of bubbly or wine if you’re getting hitched at a winery will be a huge hit.
Candy, cookies, cupcakes and other delicious sweets laid out on tiered plates and in pretty glass containers along with small baggies or Chinese takeout containers are a wonderful idea for guests to take home or munch on through the night. Plus it’s cute!
This is a wonderful idea especially if you are having a cocktail hour. Guests have fun cramming into the booths creating memories and get to take those photos home with them. A lot of these booths come with attendants who also put a copy into a book for you to take home and treasure also.
Having an outside ceremony at sunset? Sunglasses will be a huge hit. Destination wedding? A post card to remember the trip would be lovely. Something that ties in with your venue or theme will make the wedding feel that much more intimate.
In conclusion, pretty much anything edible or something that people can but on their fridge are lovely ideas for wedding favors and probably won’t end up in the trash at the end of the night. What are/were your wedding favors?
